About this Blog

“The heart has reasons that reason cannot know,” writes Blaise Pascal.  As the truth of these words cannot be gainsaid, let there be a journey of the heart toward the intellect. Let the story of that journey be in the heart’s own language of desire. “Who can map out the various forces at play in one soul?” asks Saint Augustine. “Man is a great depth, O Lord. The hairs of his head are easier by far to count than his feeling, the movements of his heart.” Around the words, between the lines, by thinking of the heart, by a veritable flame of intellect, let there be a new eye to see, a new ear to hear. The mystics are right. The eye by which the awakened soul sees God is the same eye by which God sees the awakened soul. Here is a science still awaiting discovery; here is a wisdom still to seek.
She is quick to make herself known to all who desire knowledge of her; he who rises early in search of her will not grow weary in the quest, for he will find her seated at his door. To meditate on her is prudence in its perfect shape, and to be vigilant in her cause is the short way to freedom from care; she herself searches far and wide for those who are worthy of her, and on their daily path she appears to them with kindly intent, meeting them half-way in all their purposes. (Wisdom 6: 13-16)
Soar to the heights, there she is for the eye that sees. Sound into the depths, there she is for the ear that hears. Her touch is of the spirit, from the very hand of God. “Now this Science is the Root to the fiery Mind,” declares Jacob Boehme, “and it is in briefe the Root of all Spirituall beginnings, it is the true Root of Soules and proceedeth through every Life, for it is the Ground from whence Life commeth.”
This blog is an ongoing account of one heart’s journey toward this hidden science, toward the “root of the fiery Mind”, which is Mary Sophia herself, the Holy Mother of God, the Holy Daughter of God, the Wisdom of Creation.

Congratulations on being up and running amongst all other states. Love to you and the work you play within, David

Though stumbling upon ‘The Fiery Mind’ while Googling in Rudolf Steiner’s ‘wake’, the discovery has been interesting and heart-felt. Your blog sweeps broadly and deep in the ‘waters’ Steiner sailed. Surprising, how many others too are ‘on board’. A lovely crew, indeed, and a challenging voyage ahead!
